Rolling Oaks Morgans specializes in the Morgan horse and trains, shows, and sells Morgan horses. We are members of the American Morgan Horse Association, New York State Morgan Horse Society, the United States Equestrian Federation and the New York State Saddle Horse Association. Our show program includes U.S. Equestrain Federation shows at the local and national level and smaller shows sanctioned by local associations. We encourgae anyone interested to come and visit us at these shows. We are proud to promote the Morgan horse and welcome anyone wishing to enjoy America’s first breed.
At Rolling Oaks we try to customize lessons in hunt seat, saddle seat, and western riding on well schooled lesson horses or on a client’s own horse. All lessons are booked in advance and are one-half hour in length. For those who wish to be more involved, Rolling Oaks offers them the opportunity to learn to groom and tack. However, grooming and tacking can be done for those who do not wish to actively participate in pre-lesson preparation.
Rolling Oaks offers 10×12 and 10×10 fully matted box stalls with full care. There is a 50×80 indoor facility available for all clients. A heated lounge affords clients a warm place to rest in the winter. An outdoor lighted ring surrounded by a small track completes the basic facilities. Other services include turnouts, body-clipping, sheath cleaniing, and assistance with purchasing tack or riding apparel.
In addition, the property has been cleared and planned in such a way that riders have access to open and tree lined areas to work their horses when they don’t want to be in a ring.
For those who like trail riding, Wilton Wildlike Preserve has trails nearby. Many of our clients enjoy hours of cross country riding.
